Fishing

The name translates as ‘the mouth of the Mullet’ and the Mullet is a very remarkable peninsula,
fishing belmullet running some 15 miles (25 km) from north to south, shielding the west coast of County Mayo from the full force of the Atlantic Ocean.

Belmullet is one of the best places in the west of Ireland for shore and boat Angling.

With Belmullet’s many angling centers, tackle shops and charter boat services you wont be disappointed. Fishing from Claggan Island is great, Breem, Mackerel and Pollock are just some of the species caught.
