Miles of country roads boasting a huge selection of scenery from Islands, towns, castles, historic sites and parks to visit; highlands with fantastic scenery; and the Atlantic coastline of the County. Rich in breath-taking scenery, the area has been referred to as the cyclist’s paradise.

The World Class Great Western Greenway is a traffic free cycling and walking trail which follows the route of the renowned Westport to Achill railway which closed in 1937.
